What To Expect On Your Rogue River Guided Fishing Trip

When fishing the mouth of the Rogue River at Gold Beach we target chinook and coho salmon. This productive fishery is perfect for anglers of any skill level.

We troll the Rogue River bay out of our custom and comfortable 22ft Umpqua Marine jet sled. During the full day guided fishing trip we will use various trolling techniques including 360 flashers, spinners, and anchovies to find exactly what they want to bite that day.

The fishing season on the Rogue River bay starts in early July with the best fishing often taking place in August and September. During the first half of the season we will primarily catch chinook salmon while the coho will often show up in September.

Our typical Rogue River chinook salmon range from 15 to 20 pounds with many 30 pounders, and even a few 40 pounders caught every year. Anglers are able to keep 2 fish a day.

At the end of your guided fishing trip we will fillet and process any salmon you kept to make it easy to transport home.
